All that remains of our delicious (if I say so myself!) home-cooked roast dinner.
All aboard the gravy train!
Gravy for any occasion:
350mls chicken or beef stock, depending on the meat joint – alternatively you can use 2tbsp of gravy granules mixed with boiling water
Add a generous splash of the cooking juices
Then, add a spoonful of cranberry sauce and stir in
The result? Perfect gravy for all the family…yum!
I hope you’ve enjoyed a fun-filled weekend.

A Silent Sunday extra on this sunny bank holiday Monday…
A brunch at Toast Cafe in Honiton is a great way to start the day, especially in their beautiful, sunny garden.
Boys being boys, spotting tadpoles.
Beach fun and sea mist at Budleigh Salterton.
Vogue, strike a pose…
I hope you all enjoyed the beautiful weather this bank holiday Monday…here’s to the four day week!

This week I’ve been struck down by a horrible lurgy and today my lovely hubby treated us to lunch at the Fish Shed at Darts Farm. Yum.
While there we stocked up on some of the lovely fresh Darts Farm offerings!
Happy Sunday!

On Thursday the youngest member of the household turned four…a milestone for any family.
He is no longer in a cot bed, but now has a Big Boy Bed. He woke with excitement on ‘the’ day and appeared to have grown up over night. But, luckily for me, he’s not all grown up yet.
When I suggested he take his own shoes off (I am definitely more if a maid that mum to him) because he was “four-years-old now” he replied, “but I’m still only a little bit four”. Fair enough I thought, I’m happy to help a little longer, after all, he’ll be “a lot four” soon!
