Silent Sunday: Food, glorious food

This weekend saw the first Ottery St Mary Food and Families Festival.

A free, community event – founded on help, advice and volunteers from throughout this popular East Devon town’s foodie neighbourhood – it really was a great day out, with lots to see and, more importantly, eat!

I took the boys along and we were lucky enough to sample some of the wonderful food on offer from many stalls, running down the town’s Mill Street. Plus, we got to see the very popular (and now infamous) Samosa Lady of Ottery St Mary create her Indian delicacy at one of many cooking demonstrations held in the festival’s marquee at Sainsbury’s.

A great day for the town and community.

Please tell me what you think...I don't bite (often!)
